We have recently been 'adopted' by a stray cat which we believe to have been dumped nearby. We are not sure of its sex but think it is female. No-one has claimed her and we have started feeding her. She seems very friendly, and wants to come in the house, but we cannot allow her in as we have a large dog and are fearful for her safety. We feed her outside and she has access to outbuildings. She trots along behind us when we are outside, and sleeps all day in a flowerpot waiting for some attention. However she sometimes attacks as we walk past her, often when carrying her food, and has caused some bad damage to my elderly mother. We wonder if this is why she was 'dumped' by a previous owner. We dont want anything untoward to happen to her but this is becoming a bit of a problem Do you have any suggestions
